2009 Semillon Special Reserve
submitted by: David Lawrason

Very few wineries attempt straight-up semillon in Ontario. This is quite successful, catching that distinctive semillon nose of cut grass note among greengage plum, fig and a hint florality. Itís medium weight, typically soft (semillon is a low acid variety) with a sweet note. The finish is a bit hot and bitter but this works fairly well. Good length.
