Single Vineyards: Sourced from a single vineyard located to the East on Greer Road, the cabernet Franc was tended by Dan Sullivan and the Rosehall Run viticultural team. In early August, drought stress necessitated aggressive thinning to 2.4 tonnes/ acre (38 hL/ha). The result, had harvested in late October, speak the glorious 2007 vintage which perfectly ripened the fruit.
Winemaking: The ferment took place half in open top small lot fermentors, half punched down by half using pumpovers for 27 days following a six day prefermentation maceration. All of the wine for this cuvee was run off into French oak, two thirds new, where it was aged for 20 months without racking. The wine was bottled in May 2009 unfined and unfiltered.

| 2007 Cabernet Franc, Cold Creek |
| submitted by: David Lawrason |
Sourced from the Foster Vineyard on Greer Road this cab franc has been aged in fine French oak and was bottled unfined and unfiltered. It has a lovely, complex nose of tobacco, raspberry, vanilla, light char and forest floor. It’s mid-weight, supple, brimming with sour red fruit, sweetness. Very fine tannin; much less than the average Ontario cab franc. Has real presence and length. To enjoy now or for the next three years.
