| 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, Niagara River |
| submitted by: David Lawrason |
Sports very deep colour introduces a very swarthy Niagara cabernet. The nose is very dense with ripe cherry-blackberry fruit, leather, sage, tobacco and a touch of acetone not uncommon in this very ripe vintage in Niagara. It’s medium-full bodied with rich, sleek texture and a seam of sourness and some green tannin. Loads of flavour, with nutty oak on the finish. Needs two to four years in the cellar. Excellent length.

Colour: deep ruby Nose: cigar box, vanilla oak, currants Taste: dry, medium-bodied; richly extracted, sweet blackcurrant and red currant flavours; good intensity; firmly structured with ripe tannins. A serious wine. Drinkability: Hold (Short Term)
