Evan has over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. In 1996 he relocated from his hometown of Montreal to Niagara to pursue in earnest his love of wine. Journalism
His first wine ratings were published in Vines Magazine. In 2002 he joined WineTidings, Canada's oldest and largest circulation wine magazine as Niagara Correspondent. Every month he visits the wineries to taste, re-taste and evaluate upwards of 100 Canadian wines for inclusion in the magazine's wine buyers guide and for his own website www.winesavvy.ca. Earlier this year (2003) he took over the editorial reigns of the ISG's newsletter, which is subscribed to by industry people and wine lovers worldwide.
An International Wine Judge, Evan is also founder of WineSavvy Consultants, a Niagara based Education center which specializes in wine appreciation courses and wine tastings. The company also provides services such as guest speaking and restaurant/ industry training.
