Our WINE CLUB ships 2 of Ontario's top, newly-released wines each month. Most are non-LCBO wines, selected after being approved by Tony Aspler and David Lawrason at our monthly Experts Tasting. CLUB plans start at $39/month, all in - and some contain Canadian artisanal cheese selected by our cheese expert Kathy Guidi. All wines and cheeses come with our experts' reviews and ratings.
Our new WINERY of the MONTH PACK Program features special, noteworthy 4 and 6 packs of wines from a new winery each month. Each wine has its own Wine Profile Sheet that includes our experts’ reviews and ratings together with food matching suggestions. In addition, each pack contains a Free Tasting Passport for 2 – and shipping is FREE! The featured winery will often add other benefits too. This program takes a break each Summer and Christmas.
Rating System and Reviews
Every wine reviewer sees wines differently and each has his own system for rating them. We think it is more meaningful and helpful for our site visitors and members, to access the impressions of two of Canada’s top independent and respected wine critics - each with his own subjective views about a particular wine. That way, you can take into consideration not only the winery's description of a wine - but also those of two independent reviewers. This will help you more fully visualize the true nature of a wine - and compare it against your own taste profile.

taste all wines proposed for our site, and their descriptions of and ratings for each wine they recommend are then posted on our site on each wine page. Reviews are never altered. Only wines that David and Tony recommend are listed on our website, except for new releases not yet tasted. Our ratings are: G = Good, VG = Very Good, VG+ = Very Good Plus and OS = Outstanding. At the end of the day, we think that this approach is more useful when you’re trying to select a wine that suits your own tastes - than relying upon the opinion of any single reviewer.
Independent artisanal cheese expert Kathy Guidi reviews all of the cheeses we offer as part of several CLUB plans – and we only sell those that she recommends.
